Our Story

Saksila Resort was born from a simple idea - that a place built with heart can make people feel at home. It all began when two friends from Bangkok visited Pua for the first time in 2019 and instantly fell in love with the surrounding misty mountains and endless fresh air. Captivated by its beauty, they dreamed of creating a retreat that reflected their love for quality, design and genuine hospitality.

What started as a peaceful rice field slowly transformed into a handcrafted teakwood haven, a material chosen for its natural warmth and enduring strength. Designed and built entirely by hand with the help of four master carpenters from nearby Phrae, every beam, step and detail took shape over four years - a true labor of dedication. Even the trees and flowers were chosen with care, many brought fully grown from Chiang Mai to create the lush, living landscape that now surrounds Saksila.

Rooted in Tradition

At Saksila, we celebrate the beauty of traditional Thai architecture and the calm rhythm of northern life. Each teakwood house tells a story of patience and artistry - from the glow of the wood grain in the afternoon sun to the quiet chorus of birds in the early morning.

We built this place for people to slow down, reconnect and appreciate the beauty of their surroundings - the character of teakwood, the grandeur of mature trees, and the magic of Pua itself. Every guest becomes part of our story, and every visit reminds us why we created Saksila - to share the warmth of Thai hospitality and the comfort of good company.
